Confession: My 4 year old still sits in a high chair.

My Dd can not sit still for the life of her!

It's too hard to keep her from bouncing up and down in a seat, looking at the booth behind us, wiggling, etc etc. So we always get a high chair for her, she's tall for her age but she's slim AND she eats, we eat, everyone is happy. If I'm gonna be paying for a meal then I'm gonna enjoy it and if she has to sit in a high chair for us to do that then so be it.

Our favorite high chairs are the ones at Cracker Barrel!

For the record she doesn't sit in a high chair at home.

Eh, not something I have done, but I don't think it's a huge deal.

Thank goodness she's not sitting in one at home! I was worried for a minute when I read the title.
I guess the fact that she sits in one in a restaurant is ok. Hope y'all get it figured out before she gets too big to fit in one!

Just curious, why aren't you teaching her proper behavior in public?

Yes, instead of actually being a parent and teaching your child the appropriate behavior for a restaurant, let's jam them into a high chair they are way too big to be sitting in.

How about making the effort to correct the bad behavior and if it continues, leave. Eventually she will learn if she wants to go out, she needs to behave properly.

We do the best we can but she's four and she's full of energy and to be quite honest to really nail done proper restaurant behavior every time we'd have to consistently go out and that's pricey! We go out to a sit down place (nice but always family friendly) about 3 times a month with her and it's just easier to put her in a high chair. Booster seats are a joke, they're always slipping off.

My dd doesn't sit in a high chair and or a boOster seat. And my dd is 2. Only time does is when We are at table that has chairs.

I refuse to here my twork year old scream and cry. And have to leave. Before and I even get the chance to eat. SI she gets her meal while I and dh order our drinks.
