Double standard

Why does the world cave in when DH is sick and we have to cater to him. But when I'm sick I still end up cleaning, cooking meals, caring for kids and (gulp) going to work because at least there I can rest while looking reasonably productive.

I don't cater to my man when he's sick any more than he does for me....

Ouch! The truth hurts. I agree though.

If dh is sick I pick up the slack and if I'm sick he will pick up the slack. No double standards here.

I was taught to do unto others and you'd have them do for you.....

We take care of people when they're sick in my family. If my husband's at work and I'm sick, my son will wait on me. The only time it sucks is when one of us has to be home alone and sick or when we're all sick.

Because you let it happen? In my house we both suck it up. Lol I'm the one that gets pampered when I'm sick, but that's because when I actually end up in bed I actually need to be there lol, I'm not just being a sissy

I had the flu last month. DH took care of DS, the house, etc for days. I just laid in bed and rested. I'm sorry you allow your husband to take advantage of you.

There's a difference between being nice and being walked on.
