My bf is 46 and I'm 25. I really really like him but everyone keeps saying that it won't work out cause of the age difference. What do you ladies think?

1 mom liked this

I dated a guy that was much older than me (by 28 yrs) before I met my dh. Ignore the negative crap and enjoy your time with him.

My dad was 20 years older than my mom. It wasn't the age difference that broke them up. It was other things. In fact, they remained best friends till my dad died. He never learned to drive, so on his days off, mom would go take him to the store, and he'd buy her lunch. And, when he died, she bought the plot next to him. She said they loved each other, just couldn't stay married. My sil is 17 years older than my daughter (in fact, he's only 5 years younger than me). But, he's very good to her, and has made a great life for them, and they are very happy. If you are happy, then don't worry about what anyone else says.

My ex and I had that age difference.  I met him when I was 20, he was 41.  We used to joke that he was just immature for his age.

At 25, when I had our son, I realized it wasn't a joke.  He WAS still immature, and wasn't going to change.  And hasn't in the decades since we've been divorced.  He was actually great as a husband - but once we had kids, no.
