Are you good at saving money?

Are you a saver or a spender? Is your DH/SO a better saver than you?
I spend a good amount but I am neurotic about having money in my savings account. I grew up in a poor single family home. My dad made sure we had food but everything else was tight.
As a grown up, not having money in my savings makes me very anxious. I worry about the what ifs.

We are quite frugal and save quite a bit, but do like to splurge every once in a while.

ugh I've always been a saver but DH is a spender. We just combined all of our accounts and I had to put him on a budget. I go crazy if our accounts get below a certain amount.

It's very hard for me to save but if I don't, I'll be begging for handouts. No thanks

I suck at saving, but do fairly well with budgeting. Dh on the other hand, if he has it he'll spend it. I had to take all the money out of the checking account except for what he needs for gas and cigarettes for 2 weeks. Life is financially easier now that I don't have to worry about him spending bill money.
