Anyone who knows anything about taxes and commission checks please help me.

My dh sometimes gets really large commission checks from his job. He gets taxed at an extremely high rate which takes away half of them. What happens if he files exempt on a few of them throughout the year? He gets taxes taken out of his regular paycheck as well. Sometimes we would much rather have the large sum of money right away. Would we get in trouble for this?

No, he can change his withholding as often as he wants. I'll do that on pay periods with extra overtime. Just make sure you don't do it too much and end up owing at the end of the year because that will get you in trouble.
