In Texas you can't buy liquor on Sunday, but you can buy wine or beer after noon.

No they are not the only state. I think it's some stupid religious reason that stems decades ago. I have always found that a dumb rule for states to carry.

It has something to do with not drinking the Devil's Elixir on the Lord's Day. And many states have similar ridiculous laws about alcohol sales.

I'm not sure.  I know there are towns around here that do that, but usually the gas stations right outside town still sell it.  LOL.  Really dumb for the towns as they lose all the tax revenue.

Colorado used to be like that, but the law was changed a few years ago.

When I lived in Kentucky the whole tri-county area was dry, I had to go to Ohio to get a bottle of wine! So now I'm not bothered by no sale Sunday. Although I think it has recently changed here.

Minnesota you cannot buy alcohol on Sundays.  Except at a bar.

So make sure you don't buy a 6 pack to cool down after mowing the lawn, but by all means go get drunk at a bar and drive home.

Stupidest. Law. Ever.

It was the same when I was in South Carolina.

I know that the clubs would close down at Midnight on Saturdays in Leesville, Louisiana.  Because at 12:01, it's Sunday.

Yeah....I'm from Wisconsin, and that doesn't happen here.
