Yup. Those that struggle will always have problems with getting ahead or feeling like they can do well. Those that are gifted will now always be held back because of the new standards. 

It benefits no one.

Its all in figuring out how to get up there. Fish could ask monkey for a ride up.

but the teacher wouldnt allow something like that, because after all, a fall could lead to a lawsuit.

Its problem solving.  There is no one right way to learn and no one right way to get up the tree. Even with the new standards, the teachers arent sticklers and are open for personal learning abilities.
