What are your reasons for not vaccinating your kids?

Hello, we're looking to hear moms' reasons why they did not vaccinate their kids. Did one of your kids have a bad reaction to a vaccine in the past? Or does your child suffer from a health issue that prevents him from getting vaccines? Did you hear or research something that made you realize your kids are better off without vaccines?  Please tell us your reasons and your story behind it, and your answers may appear in an upcoming post on The Stir. You can remain completely anonymous if you wish, or if you're comfortable sharing please also include the #/age of your kids, and your age and/or name. Thanks so much!

Because I don't have any yet, when I do I'll vaccinate them.

I don't feel I need to shove a bunch of poison into my children for diseases that they may or may not come into contact with. Plus most of the diseases that they vaccinate for are treatable if they do get them.

FYI, I am not vaccinated, neither is my husband or any of our siblings. THe most any of us has gotten was the chicken pox.

I didn't vaccinate any of my children because I heard some can do more harm than good. I was vaccinated when I was a child and got sick after each vaccination.  I feed my children with a vegan diet and don't eat any of the process crap, they hardly get sick.

It's something I've been researching for almost 10 years.. and I still learn more everyday. It's impossible to tell you all of the reasons in one post.

But I will give you a few of my reasons...

1. The dangerous, harmful ingredients

Bacteria, Viruses, Aluminum, Formaldehyde, Thimerisol, Polysorbate 80, animal byproducts, Human DNA.. just to name a few.

It is a scientifically established fact in literally hundreds of studies that the preservatives and chemical additives in vaccines damage cells. Neurotoxicity, immune suppression, immune-mediated chronic inflammation and carcinogenic proliferation are just a few of several effects that have been observed on the human body.

2. There is no evidence that vaccine work.

The respiratory tract of all mammals contains antibodies which initiates natural immune responses within the respiratory tract mucosa. Bypassing this mucosal aspect of the immune system by directly injecting viruses into the bloodstream leads to a corruption in the immune system itself. As a result, the pathogenic viruses or bacteria cannot be eliminated by the immune system and remain in the body, where they will further grow and/or mutate as the individual is exposed to ever more antigens and toxins in the environment which continue to assault the immune system..

Flu viruses, may mutate, change or adapt several times over a period of one flu season, making the seasonal influenza vaccine 100% redundant and ineffective every single flu season. Ironically, the natural immune defenses of the human body can target these changes but the vaccines cannot.

3. There is an abundence of evidence showing that vaccines cause great harm (VAERS is just one small piece)

4. The illnesses we vaccinate are NOT dangerous and help build the immune system

Our parents and grandparents had them. Simple, MILD illnesses. They ate lots of ice cream in bed.. and nobody ever died. There hasn't been a single Measles death in over a decate in the US. The only people who die from measles are in 3rd world countries where nurtirion and sanitation are poor.

5. The death rate for every illness we vaccinate against was on a steady decline long before the vaccine was introduced. There is not one shred of
scientific evidence that shows disease reduction in any part of the world, at any point in history was attributable to inoculation of populations

6. There are thousands of vaccine injuries reported every year

7. The manufacturers can't be sued. Ever.

8. I prefer to build my kids immune systems naturally (breastfeeding, probiotics, vit D & C, organic living foods, etc)

9. America is the most heavily vaccinated country on the planet yet has the sickest children.. one of the highest infant mortality rates, one of the highest maternal mortality rates and one of the lowest life expectancy rates (as far as industrialized nations go).

10. The vast majority of outbreaks occur in fully vaccinated populations

11. Childhood illnesses that were practically unheard of 50 years ago are common today and have risen at the same rate as the childhood vaccination schedule (asthma, ADHD, Autism, learning disabilities, severe food allergies, seasure disorders, cancer, autoimmunity, SIDS, etc)

12. There has never been a single double blind, placebo controlled study (which is the STANDARD for evidence based medicine)

13. Hundreds of Thousands of parents can attest to the fact that their child was injured or killed immediately or shortly after vaccination

14. The vaccine manufacture tells you the ingredients and possible side effects on the package insert. They also tell you that the vaccine hasn't been tested.

15. There are thousands of doctors who are against vaccines.

Here is a VERY SMALL list:

Nicola Antonucci, MD Isaac Golden, ND Amber Passini, MD David Ayoub, MD Gary Goldman, PhD Ronald Peters, MD, MPH Nancy Turner Banks, MD Garry Gordon, MD, DO, MD(H) Jean Pilette, MD Timur Baruti, MD Doug Graham, DC Pat Rattigan, ND Danny Beard, DC Boyd Haley, PhD Zoltan Rona, MD, MSc Françoise Berthoud, MD Gayl Hamilton, MD Chaim Rosenthal, MD Russell Blaylock, MD Linda Hegstrand, MD, PhD Robert Rowen, MD Fred Bloem, MD James Howenstine, MD Máximo Sandín, PhD Laura Bridgman, FNP, ND Suzanne Humphries, MD Len Saputo, MD Kelly Brogan, MD Belén Igual Diaz, MD Michael Schachter, MD Sarah Buckley, MD Philip Incao, MD Viera Scheibner, PhD Rashid Buttar, DO Joyce Johnson, ND Penelope Shar, MD Harold Buttram, MD A. 16. There hasn't been one single study confirming the long term safety or efficency of vaccines.

17. One of the most critical elements which defines the toxicity potential of any vaccine are its pharmacokinetic properties. Drug companies and health agencies refuse to consider the study, analysis or evaluation of the pharmacokinetic properties of any vaccine

18. Injecting neurotoxins is NEVER healthy or good for the body. Never, Ever, Ever.

I am going to delay vaccines for baby #3 due in a few weeks. Here's why: all 3 of my kids have a genetic deletion. With my oldest son (now 7) we lost our insurance and gave his vaccines a year late. He is an AB honor roll student. With my daughter now 5, we gave all vaccines as scheduled and she has very severe learning disabilities and delays.
Could there be something to it? Maybe. I plan to be a sahm so baby 3 will be home not in school or daycare. I think waiting until 12 months is the best decision for us.

I have several reasons for vaccinating mine. Polio, small pox, diphtheria, pertussis... Etc

My children have gotten all their shots except for one. That stomach virus one. We also spaced them out so they never got more than 2 at a time. I'm am not sure about the HPV one yet.

When I had my daughter, I vaccinated her. It was really hard for me because I wasn't convinced vaccines were safe but I thought it was in her best interest to do so. We vaccinated on a delayed schedule and when she was 2, she was nearly up to date on what most 2 year olds had been vaccinated against. At that time my son was born. When I held him, I told my husband that I didn't want to vaccinate him at all. I couldn't explain it but he seemed weaker to me somehow. I was afraid he was not as strong as his sister. All of his testing cam back normal, and we took out baby home. He cried a lot, and over the next 3 months it got worse. He hardly slept and there seemed to be no consoling him. I was told her was "colicy" but I wasn't satified with that. He also had a rash from head to toe that seemed to lesson and flair up but never really disappear. Over the next 3 months I had him tested for everything I could think of and while doing blood tests, they found his bone marrow was not working properly. The white blood cells that protect against bacteria were very low. At that point we were referred to a specialist. On the first visit he asked "is he vaccinated?" I answered no but our daughter was. Then he said something I will never forget. He said "My wife is a pediatrician and if she heard me say this, she'd kill me, but it's a really good thing you didn't vaccinate him. The consequences could have been disastrous". At that point, I realized how little I really knew about vaccines and how little I really knew about the health of my children. Eventually, his bone marrow began to produce normal levels of white blood cells, except for when he's fighting something off, then he has low production of lymphocytes. He has since been medically cleared "healthy enough for vaccinations" but I'm just not interested in the risk. I also stopped vaccinating my daughter. The truth is that the more I have researched vaccines, the more I realized there isn't enough information available to make me comfortable giving them to my children. This doesn't mean I won't vaccine again in the future, maybe as they get older and stronger, or if safer vaccines are introduced. For now, I will continue to follow my instincts, because they haven't steered me wrong thus far.

i was not vaccinated and completely healthy

i do not have 100% faith in the safety of vaccinations.  those few parents kids who did have a reaction to the vaccines will never get their child back.  what if my kid is one of those few?
