Why I'm glad I nurse my 3 year old.

She was diagnosed with the flu yesterday. She had a high fever, and was very sick. She wouldn't eat or drink, but she would nurse. Today she is about 80% better. Had she not have been nursing, she'd be dehydrated and still sick.

Nursing isnt for my benefit, like some say. It's for her well being.

Eh. What ever floats your boat. Your child and body, your choice.

Just that breastfeeding apparently cures the flu & so I thought I would point out that formula must prevent it then. These posts just get ridiculous.

Yes we have nothing else, (except ginger ale, apple juice, water, pedialyte, Gatorade, powerade, hot tea, coke, 7-up).... Oh wait.

Oh come. It is common knowledge that breast milk has many advantages to helping illnesses.
It helps hydrate, has needed vitamins and minerals, and anti bodies.
Also yes, breast milk does help with natural immunity to illness.
