Did you give your child a simple or an exotic/unique name?

Our first dd ( stillborn at 36 weeks) is named Kahlan Nicole. We found the name in a book series that we both liked...it was also a combination of my middle name, my mother's first name and my MIL's middle name.

Our middle dd ( adopted from China) was named after her Grandmothers- Lillian ( Dh's GGM), Lin ( Chinese version of Lynn).

Our middle dd ( bio) was named after a friend of ours from HS- Karli.. her middle name is Rose ( outdoorsy like her sister's first name- Lilly)

My kids all have pretty normal or traditional names.
Gavin, Ivy, Izabelle and Eleanor.
My name is Shantelle and I really hated having such a different name growing up. People screw up the spelling and pronunciation constantly.
