how long will it take for them to contact me back. They've talked to my daughter already. She said they talked to her they day I filed it. But I haven't heard from them.

They won't contact you again unless they need more info from you.

Around here they may not bother at all. It takes multiple reports so they can build a case.

If it's not an emergency it could take up to 10 days to open up an investigation in my state. They could also decide to not open a case.

I'm not sure, maybe leave a message asking for an update? Off topic I've never heard it called CPS until coming on here it was DCF where I lived before also.

I'm the baker act mom in Florida .

we need more help then we are currently receiving so I was told by the sheriff office to call for a parent in need of services from dcf.
