Yes people do need to watch their kids. I see every day people crossing streets without even looking (what happened to look left, look right and repeat 3 time to be sure no car is coming). I see people playing on their cell phone while their kids run wild. Your child should be more important then anything on your smart phone (although I think they should be called dumbing down phones). When your child is killed, taken, abused, lost, etc, ask yourself why you wanted kids so badly yet valued your smart phone over their safety?

Several years before I had children I lived next door to a woman who simply assumed it was okay with us if her kids played in my yard. Shortly after we moved in we over heard her tell her kid to go play in our yard because she didn't want him to trample her flower beds. Ah, no. I came outside and told him to stay off my property and made sure she heard me.

A couple years latter she thought it was fine for him to shoot his pellet gun at my flowers. I fixed that, too.

Keep your kids off other people's property unless they have expressly told you they do not mind. It is not hard.
