Well, he's not really a stepchild. He is my child. So yes, of course. I considered him mine before it was legally so though. He's been mine from the day I got married and stepped into the role of his mother.

No. He has a mother. I'm his father's wife.

Yes, even though its incredibly hard and they treat me like crap now that they're teens... At one point things were awesome though...

Most definitely! I have 2 step kids and care for and provide for them more than their mother can/will (not just financially, but emotionally). I help them, I encourage them, I teach them, I listen to them ... they are my kiddos!

Yes. He is my child. His "mother" is going to court for waterboarding her kids right now. He is 4. He calls me mom by choice. He started calling her my Candace because he rarely sees her and he can feel that I am a mother to him. She never was.

I count her as part of our family but not mine biologically. When she is with us I treat her as family & I even go to events with her mother & to her mother's house for birthday parties & such.

Yes, I do. But, that's how I grew up, also. My step sisters and step brother have always been referred to as just brothers and sisters. But that's just my opinion.

Of course, opinions are like a $$ holes- we all have them, some just stink more than others. :).
