A question about the book Gone Girl. **SPOILERS**

I just started part 2 last night, but I had to put it down and get to sleep. I get that Nick didn't really act as depicted in Amy's diary, but he still cheated at the very least. Am I going to feel sorry for him at all?

What a horrible book. I just finished it. I'm not going to reveal anything to you though...I will say I hated the book as I thought it was predictable, and both parties were horrible people.

Agreed.  I don't hate very many books, but I just don't get the hype.

I felt sorry for him at times, but at the end I didn't.

Yes he still cheated but doesn't deserve jail for murder. Both parties suck.

I don't either. Dh kept hearing about it so he wanted to read it. I got it for him for Christmas. He read it and said it was an okay book and I should read it. It took me forever as I had to force myself to read it. I finished it a couple of days ago and was just bummed out that it was such a bad book. I can't understand how so many people thought it was so good.

I hated that book! It was terrible and both lead characters were unlikable.

I felt sorry for them both by the end...

Two completely miserable people lol

The end did have me going what the FUCK.

I definitely DESPISED Amy... While I just disliked Nick.

I enjoyed the book. I liked Sharp Objects by the same author WAY MORE though.

Yes. and then no, and yes again, then no.  Lol.  But, the 2nd half of the book is just so bad and totally unbelievable, it's hard to get through.

I felt sorry for him.  If your husband's an ass, divorce him, don't turn psychopath.   I'll go against the tide and say I didn't hate the book.  I didn't think it lived up to the hype, but it wasn't a bad book and the author writes a compelling story.  This was one of those rare instances where I liked the movie better.
