Severe weather and visitation- help needed quick!

Bm is supposed to pick stepson up from school and have him for 4 hours. School was cancelled today, due to incoming severe weather.

Dh and I are debating what to do, because we have about a quarter inch of ice and it's supposed to keep going through tomorrow morning. They're calling for 8-10 inches of snow by tomorrow morning. We don't get much more than 2-4 inches of snow normally, so this is a lot for us. It happened once already this winter and it took 3 days for them to get the roads cleared.

So.... Does Dh tell bm that she can have him another day to make it up, but it's not safe to be on the roads for now? The cops are asking for people to only drive if necessary.

If the town is asking residents to stay off the road you tell her SS is staying with you tonight. She can get him when the roads are clear.

Can she technically use that as contempt? We don't want ss to be on the roads with ice like this...

You let her make up the time once the roads are clear,  why is this so hard?

Are you sure she still plans to get him?

Make the offer, if she chooses to get him anyway then you'll have to go pick him up when it's your time.

Have dh call her to discuss impending weather conditions.

You wouldn't think it would be. Common sense says he doesn't need to be out on the roads! She's just in a mood where she thinks it's a good idea to come get him so we wanted to make sure we weren't being crazy or something! Lol
