I don't believe stretch marks are genetics.

It all depends on the elasticity of your skin. Yes they are ugly and I absolutely hate mine. I had stretch marks before i even had kids. Still ugly. But i do not believe they come from genetics.

I agree with this, my mom and grandmother both got these angry bright red ones that never faded mine were already a faded white and are fading more as time goes on

I don't have one, do you? Prove that stretch marks are genetic. My mom had 7 kids, no stretch marks. My grandma had 5, none. Other grandma had 5, none. Not genetics

Yes it depends on the elasticity of your skin, which comes from your genes. You can help/hinder it depending on some lotions/creams but you can't change whether your are more or less prone to getting stretch marks.

Genetics are not the only factor but they are a contributing aspect to whether a person will get stretch marks.

Genetics don't just come from the women in your family...just sayin :)
