I love my sister but

We were talking about our kids the other day and my sister asks me what do your kids want to be when they grow up. I told her my 10 year old DD was to be a hair stylist and my 7 year old DD wants to be a zookeeper. She thinks my younger one has a good set goal but she doesn't think my 10 year old does she thinks she needs to change it. I told her number 1 she is young she could easily change her mind and number 2 even if she doesn't she is my child and I will love her no matter what she chooses to become with her life cause she is my daughter. We have not spoken in a few days now because of that but I feel I was right what do you ladies think?

I fully agree with you. Both my kids know I will love them no matter what they want to do, and what ever job they chose to do I just want them to be the best at it no matter if it's a doctor or a fast food manager I don't care. After all it's there life not mine so who am I to tell them what will make them happy.

I agree with you. Doing hair is a great career if you are good at it and especially if you can open your own shop eventually.

You're right, my ds wants to be the flash right now. So he practices his running. Kids will change their minds everyday.

I agree with you. Kids should be encouraged to pursue what they love. If she wants to be a hairstylist, there is nothing wrong with that at all.

I agree with you. Everyone has high hopes and dreams for their children, but we can't pick and choose who they are and what they want out of life. I don't need my kids to be doctors or scientists. I just want them to be happy and productive citizens.

Thank you she is amazing with hair. She can look at a hair style and do it.

This made me chuckle. Kids are so funny! My 5 year old wants to be a police officer, so he practices by monitoring our speed when we drive. DH "stole" a cookie from the cabinet and DS caught him, so he chased DH around and told him he was under arrest for stealing.
