Can your child tell time?

How old was your child when they learned to tell time? Not digital obviously but a real clock.

I ask because my 13 yr old sd doesn't know how to tell time. We're now working with her. My dd6 can almost tell time flawlessly, I figured around k-1 was average.

Ds is 6 and can read the hour but he thinks the 1 means one minute. So trying to explain it's actually 5 blows his mind

In kindergarten they start working on it. My oldest was around nine. She had a hard time with it. My second was seven.

1st grade they learned it in class & were tested on it so we spent a bit of time really understanding it.  They still get confused if I say quarter to or quarter past though.
