If they dont have a problem or are not sick they should be in bed sleeping. I'd be pissed if my kids woke me up banging on the door because they didnt want to sleep alone at any age.

Ahhh idk I'm a bad example. I had severe anxiety and slept on my mom's floor until I was 14. Ps anxiety was from years of abuse.

So of a child that you did NOT have to gave overnight say a stepchild, a cousin, or a friend did it would you stop the overnights?

I wouldn't stop a step child because of it. It seems evil to do that to a step child. Friend of one of my kids? Yeah, no more overnights.
