Day care requires crocs

Would you be ok with that?

When ds first started day care, it was required that all walking toddlers/preschoolers wear crocs.

I totally get why it was a rule.

It's an In home day care ran by one lady. It saves time because she doesn't have to tie any shoes, help put them on(as much), and they are easy to clean.

No. I would not allow my developing child to walk in those things.

Why? I know they are easier to put on than sneakers but why are they required?

Crocs fall off. A lot. Ive worked at daycares where they were banned. No, I wouldnt put my kids in crocs. Velcroed sneakers are safer than crocs.

Just to save time and reduce the work load for her I guess.

Well ds has been wearing them for the 6 years he's gone there. No problems here.

Velcro sneakers, okay. Crocs?  Never.  I hate those things on anyone, but especially little ones.  Their feet roll to the sides and they can get caught up in things.  They were banned in my kids elementary school.
