What would you do if your adult child

Threw things that you, called you a cunt, bitch and many other names. Said he was going to kill the whole family. What would your husband do?

This happened to a friend of mine and her and her husband ignored it. Cleaned the house up. Said the husband doesnt want to go to jail for assault so he won't do anything. And they won't kick him out.

What?! The son is 25 years old!

I've been knee deep in these same situations. All I can say is, don't judge them for the decisions they made because clearly they know the best. Perhaps they don't want him in trouble, I am sure they want help for him though. It's very clearly a mental illness going on here, or could be.

I can't say what I would do right now because things change, people change. I am glad people gave ME chances to change though instead of just calling the cops on me and taking my kids, etc.

Have her taken and out on a 72 hour hold to figure out what is going on with her. That screams mental illness, especially if it's new or escalating behavior.

Kicked out, RO put in place if needed.
If hubby were still alive he'd not worry about jail he'd probably beat the tar out of him.

Depends. It seems that the kid has mental issues. It may be the "norm" for that family.
