My youngest is 13 and apparently they don't "play" anymore… They "hang out". She has a friend over right now and haven't for bid they become "playing"… They are in her room talking and laughing and doing whatever… But NOT playing.

My 10 year old let me know a couple months ago that they don't play anymore. They hang out. Her hanging out looks a lot like playing to me lol.

I love having the kids hang out at our house. Gives me a little glimpse of the people my kids choose to surround themselves with. And I get to hear a little bit about what goes on in their lives. SD17 tends to open up and talk more, when her friends are present.
