Frustrated

I recently lost my job and I am so frustrated. I have been out of work 2 months and 6 days.

I got obama care and unemployment. I have 1 teenager in school and am divorced. So, the biggest frustration I have is I cannot find a specialist that takes the medicaid I got approved for. I did not apply for welfare of food stamps. I live in NY.

My daughter had a major surgery 4 monuhs ago and I cannot find a neurologist that takes medicaid. I have never been in a situation like this in my life. I always work
And paid my way. The job market here is pretty stagnent. I just don't seem to be able to break through and get a job offer.

Can you go out of state to Jersey or something? Or depending on where you live in New York another state?

does Medicaid provide a list of providers? I'm in NYC, even calling the 311 might help you out.

A neuro for your DD?  Is her dad in the picture and can he add her to his insurance?

Hi. Thanks for the nice replies. I live near Western NY. The snow belt. Jersey is to far away.

My ex is out of the picture. In order for him to provide insurance I have to go to Family Court and because he lives 900 miles away our cases stay in court for months before the judge does a trial with us. He has lousy insurance and it is a high dedictible. I cannot afford to pay the deductible.

I feel like a bad mom. I work so hard and then lost my way again.

I appreciate the kind words. A job with health insurance is my only goal. I would even do a crappy one to support her.
