What are the pros and cons of all the boroughs in NYC,?

Thanks in advance! We are moving there for Dh's job. We will live in the upper west side in Manhattan for a year because the company is providing housing for the first year.

But after the first year we will have to get our own place so I want to know what's best about living in each place bc I know they are all different...

Also, we are from the sandwich, ma(cape cod area) if that makes any difference lol

We have 1 daughter who is 4, no more kids for us. We also have 1 cat.

I live in Queens and I love it. It's affordable and you get a good amount of space. Our 3 bedroom apt in Flushing is $1650, and we live right next to the Queens Botanical Garden and Flushing Meadows Park. The Upper West Side is nice, but pricey.

We live on the upper east side. I like it because the schools are great over here, we are two blocks from Central Park. We own our place. The only problem is we are reliant on the 5/6 subway line. I would say if we were to do it again we would have gotten the apartment near gramercy park. It's very centrally located and commute would be a tad shorter being I work in soho and h work downtown
