Find the common denominator.

Find a common denominator. In this case 6. 2/3=4/6

So 7. 4/6
- 5. 1/6
= 2. 3/6

Simplified to 2 1/2

7 4/6- 5 1/6= 2 3/6 which equals 2 1/2

He is just now studying for a test today? This should have been an on going review. Get him a math tutor from now on.
