Yes and yes. I'd do a trial run, make sure the kids got along, then yes.  I'd rather have a mother who KNOWS what she's doing, because she HAS a child, then someone who doesn't but has "Read about it"

No. I would hire someone to focus on my child, not chase hers around too.

I did! My oldest grew up with my nanny's kids and they are very close today (in high school). She has five kids now.
