A really ugly one, though. They're usually pretty.

That does not look like any dragon fly I've ever seen. I live in FL and I've never seen anyting like that.

I have a family of beautiful dragonflies that seem to live in my garden...but they look nothing like that! That thing looks evil!

An ensign wasp? I've seen these before, but I'm not sure if that's what they're really called.

I've been here 9 years and haven't seen anything like it before either. I have a rather large garden that seems to attract a variety of insects...but nothing like this one.

I just googled them. It's close, but missing the characteristic blue eyes and has thinner, longer wings :/
