Someone asked this on one of my fertilty groups on Facebook. I feel for everyone going through infertilty and it's hard that it's so darn expensive but if my own private insurance funded by DH's paycheck and his employer won't cover infertilty stuff then I damn sure don't think Medicaid should cover infertility.

If she's too sick to work she's too sick to have kids.

So, she had to stop working for endometriosis (wtf), but thinks she is healthy enough to chase a child around?

Endometriosis can be severely debilating.

Thankfully they don't fund things like this.

Quoting Anonymous 1:

Medicaid doesn't fund that shit.

Just saying.

I saw that post as well. I agree that medicaid should not pay for infertility when my insurance I pay for doesn't even cover it.

Medicaid shouldn't pay for that. Can people not take responsibility for anything these days?

It shouldn't cover anything, no drugs or procedures. If insurance people have to work for doesn't cover most of it the government shouldn't cover it.

I agree with you. I had infertility issues, too (also related to endometriosis), and my husband and I both work, and our insurance won't cover any of it either, so why should Medicaid?
