I confess...I think you should just ask your DOCTOR medical questions.

Some medical questions I can see posting to a forum for support, such as finding out you have a medical disorder and then asking people about their experiences with that disorder.

Others, I don't understand why people don't ask a medical professional.

Could I be pregnant?

Does this sound like an STD?

Is this normal when you are breastfeeding?

Is this how ultrasounds work?

Is it safe to use this?

Am I the only one who would call my doctor's office and have a quick 5 minute chat with a practicioner or nurse? Or make a pit stop at the urgent care clinic? Or call them? Or at least get some solid info from MayoClinic or another reputable website? It would take you two seconds to type "MayoClinic, how early can ultrasounds determine fetal gender" into Google. I mean, really!

Sometimes, when you're waiting for a doctor's appointment for a non-emegency, it's nice to be able to calm the nerves by asking people who have gone through the same thing.

Googling is great, sure. However, getting personal feedback from people specifically about your situation makes people feel better.
