I take omeprozole. Have you talked to your doctor about it already? I also changed my diet and that helped a lot too.

Why did you change about your diet? I have told my doctor and there's a rx waiting on me at the pharmacy but they weren't open today and I just want some relief. I'm also seeing a GI soecialist next month.

I have gastritis and I get heart burn a lot. Cutting out greasy food and certain acidic foods helped immensely. (Like burgers and tomato sauce)

If you look by where tums are kept they usually have a liquid for heartburn and gas. That usually provides momentary relief while omeprozole kicks in. I have a prescription for omeprozole but it's sold over the counter too.

Is that liquid? I have already seen the doctor. Stuff is in the works, but they love to take forever. I have an endoscopy scheduled for next month. I want something now though.

For immediate relief try taking two chewable tums.  Then take a walk, do not lie down, don't wear anything tight.   If you must lie down, elevate  your upper body.   I hope you feel better.
