I've had to do Heimlich on a child that size and it is extremely difficult. They are too big for how you do infants. You have to get down on their level and do it just like for an adult. They are so light that they flop around and it is very awkward and hard to get a good thrust.

The made me cry. I have a difficult time watching stuff like that.

It has a happy ending, it's ok to watch.

1 mom liked this
It's emotional, but not bad. A child was choking and a stranger saved her/him. There was a lot of compassion and gratefulness.

DS choked as a toddler and he was blue by the time all my efforts cleared his airway. It was TERRIFYING. I'm so glad DH and I went to the first aid classes offered by the hospital.
