Acceptable time to play outside

At what time do you feel it's acceptable for kids to begin playing outside?
Sun up? Specific time? Or whenever?

My kids are early risers - 4am (yes it sucks ass)
I usually wait until 6:30 before allowing outside play.
Now however, we have neighbors moving in and I'm wondering if I should check noise ordinance and what not.

*by outside I mean backyard, we don't allow kids to play upfront*

I don't allow outside until 9 am. I treat it like phone calls, I wouldn't call someone until 9 so I won't let my kids disturb the neighbors until then.

After breakfast. Around 9 or so. Even then, I tell them not to be too loud.

I don't normally let my kids out until the dew dries. That is a rule I had when I was growing up. This reminds me I need to now my grass today.

I wait until the dew is gone. If no dew then we wait until 9 am. We get chores done in mornings. We are early risers also.

She can go out and play at 9 am, but can't go knocking on doors until 10.

9 or 10. If they are quite kids I wouldn't care but if they are shrieking I'll call the cops. I hate other people's kids.

Omgoodness! The neighbor kid knocked on my door at 8am last weekend. I told him to come back later. I can't believe his grandmother let him do that!

I don't let DS knock on doors until 10am.
