my son's addiction.

My son is an addict. He is addicted to dog treats. Not the gross kind. I buy all natural lamb and berry treats. They have nothing artificial or processed in them. The ingredients are better than most snacks he eats (gold fish crackers or wheat thins)
I've tried hiding them. He finds them. I put them out of reach, he gets a stool. He even takes them away from the dogs
My confession.....
If stopped trying to fight him. If he sneaks one I dont make a big deal even though I think it's gross. Nothing in the cookies can hurt him.

Meh, my kid eats dog treats. Oh well. He's weird.

Hmm. I doubt that's healthy.

So if it was something unhealthy, you wouldn't be able to stop him from getting to it?

If they are all natural and have no other junky stuff like chicken lips or such then there is no problem. Like you said they probably have better things in them than the people/kids treats anyway. My odd used to eat the moist cat food that came in those pouches, I'd catch her under the kitchen table handing 1 to the cat while she ate 2 (sharing).

The ingredients are lamb, barley, oats, cranberry and blueberries. No preservatives or artificial colors or flavors. What's so unhealthy about that

We generally do not keep overly junky good in the house. Goldfish is about as junky as it gets
