Your baby died. Get over it!

Eight years ago, SIL had a miscarriage at 4 months. We all mourned and went to the funeral she had for it.

Every single fucking time i speak to her, she brings up "baby Ava Rose". I kid you not, she will always bring the baby up so i just stopped talking to her so much and hid her posts on facebook(also all about the baby). She has 2 boys named Dylan Ava and Johnston Rose. They are 6 and 5. She barely talks about them.

Dh invited the entire family over to announce my babies gender (I'm 7 months). As soon as we told everyone the great news, Sil starts crying and says: "Baby Ava Rose would be so happy to have a girl cousin!"

This morning, i received a card from SIL co congratulating me. All of the kids* signed it including baby Ava Rose. I am very uncomfortable. Mil made a joke saying "careful or she might try to take the baby!"

I honestly wouldn't put it past her.

That's honestly really sad. Did she see a therapist?

She needs counseling. I can understand it hurting, but this sounds excessive

Um.. Why can't YOU just get over it? Sounds like she's just trying to keep her memory alive.

Some people will never "get over it".
Why are you so uncomfortable with death?

Everyone mourns differently but that seems a bit off. She needs to get counseling on how to deal with her loss. It sounds like she never really did.
