I envy people who have religion. I was raised with it, have read the Bible and went to Catholic Church and school. When I apply analytical thinking, I know none of it can be true and have since I was a small child. It, however, seems like such a good coping mechanism, which I truly need in life right now. I watch my husband pray and have faith and I wish I had something to believe in so I had a reason to keep moving forward, an explanation for why things happen, an idea of why I am here, what I should be doing while here, etc. My confession is I wish I believed in fairy tales. I believe religion is a source of major war/violence causing evil. A foundation of segregation alienating anyone not of the same source of thought, but I wish I believed anyway.
