I work for a district that is top 5 in the state. My dd has special needs nor severe but she had them so getting her into the district might be a struggle with the school she is currently. If I thought it was worth it I'd try though. She's in 7th grade and loves swimming the school she currently goes to doesn't have a swim team. The middle school in my district does in facthe swimming is soooooo big in that community that even the pre school up the street has it's own in ground pool.
The only problem other then she'd need an IEP is that the student I work with is a Jr. So the job is only for 2 yrs right now then I'd have to find another job within the district but I'm not sure if there will be one available. By that time my daughter will be entering her freshman year.
It'd give her a huge advantage academically and compeditively for her freshman year but more then likely she'd be back in her old school district!
So I don't know if it'd be like a tease or what.
