What to look for when buying a house???

We're looking at price something under 200k.
2+bath
3+ berm
A big fenced backyard.
*a basement
Close to public transit (buses)
In our city.

I would love to have one with a enclosed veranda (I think that's what they are called)

But that's basically what we're looking for....as of now.

A solid foundation, maintained equipment, updated electrical work, a good roof, and if applicable, a clean septic.

Don't really have to worry about schools here. There not much different. Through the city here...

Location location and location cheapest house in neighborhood gives you room to appreciate in value

Besides something that is new/updated, and move in ready....... Location, school district, taxes, flood areas, etc..

We just purchased a new house. Our must haves were....
4+ bedrooms
3+ bathrooms
3 car garage
Minimum 1/2 acre
Minimum 3,000 sq feet
Game-room
Formal dining room
Separate office
At least 1 bedroom down
School district
Open floor plan
