Ugh. I guess that's just life, huh?

I ordered new furniture to replace my old stuff.

I had someone say they would help and bail last minute.

Now I can not even pay anyone to help me. It's a couple of couches that have to be driven 3 miles to the dump. But, nope, can't even pay anyone to do it.

Depressing. I guess I know my value to my friends and family now.

DH won't even help.

Rent a chainsaw from Home Depot and slice the couches to bits.  If you cut it small enough, your kids can help you put it into regular trash bags and you can put it on the curb and save the trip to the dump.

I'm a single mom with zero family. When I need help with things like this, I sometimes turn to FB swap sites. There's always someone looking for odd jobs to make a few bucks.

Post them for free on Craigslist. If no one called, try scrap metal for free. A lot people pick up metal to sale.

List it for free on craigslist or FB if they'll come get it from your house.

I did but they are in crappy shape so nobody wants them. I don't blame them, I don't want the stuff either.

Quoting Andromedalove: Put them on Craigslist for free.
