chicken pot pie

Homemade crust, leftover chicken from thanksgiving, carrots, potato, celery, green beans, peas.

butternut squash soup and garlic bread

The soup is from a jar (my aunt made it for me) and the garlic bread is frozen, ds has karate on friday lol

tortellini, tomato cream sauce and cesar salad

This is the recipe I use for the sauce: link

cranberry chili chicken, rice and green beans

I cut boneless, skinless chicken breasts into small chunks and seared on all sides.  Meanwhile mix equal parts (about 1.5cups) of cranberry sauce and chili sauce, then add in allspice to taste, about 1/2 tsp.  I'll be using the left over cran sauce from thanksgiving.  Once the chicken is seared on all sides, I pour the sauce over and mix, turn heat down and simmer for 20minutes.  Serve on top of rice.

thanksgiving

eat_turkey

  • Roasted chicken with stuffing
  • mashed potatoes and gravy (I will admit I'm buying canned poutine sauce because I suck at making gravy)
  • roasted brussel sprouts
  • homemade cranberry sauce
  • Pickled beets
  • Yorkshire pudding (recipe)
  • homemade pumpkin pie and fresh whipped cream

** eta: I went shopping today and there were parsnips, I knew I was forgetting something.  So adding buttered parsnips to the menu.  This is so much food for 2 people we'll be eating it for days lol

This is yorkshire pudding btw:

I would probably eat some of it but that doesn't mean I would like it.  I can think of much better things to make honestly.

I don't think I would like the cranberry chicken but the rest sounds good.

I'm making chicken pot pie with cheddar crust tonight, a fall salad and no bake pumpkin cheesecake cups for dessert :D

Some of it, but garlic bread and butternut squash soup do not go together. Get a multigrain bread.
