I would have taken him/her to the Doctor on the first day

Depends on how high the fever is and what other symptoms the child is having. My ped won't see them just for fever after 3 unless it has been 3 days or they are having other symptoms.

Depends on how the kid is acting. I don't panic for fevers.

I wouldn't be at the doctors at the point, I think that is overreacting.

First of all, I'd have taken him to the night time pediatrics the second night if possible.

I'd already have alerted his pedi before hand(even if I had to leave a msg) and used a Tylenol/Motrin combo the first night.

My child has febral seizures though so you have to dose asap with Tylenol and Motrin and alert pedi.

I also would depend it on how high the fever is. My dd has had high fever for 5 days And it was just viral. And Im talking about 103 decrete fevers And only bringing it down to 100-101 when give. Ibuprofen. Our doctor also doesnt get concerned unless the child has fever for at least 3 days.

It depends on lots of things.

Unfortunately, you are bitching about her on here, so she doesn't know what a rotton person she is "friends" with.

lol

I never have ever taken my kids to the Dr for a fever, unless it was well over 102. Even if its been days, I just keep them home and do everything I can for them myself. If it appears it is from an infection, like a UTI or ear etc...I just go to the pharmacy and get what I need!

My lo is almost 4 and had a fever on and off for almost 5 days, never took her in to the Dr at all, I treated it at home, and she is still alive and well now!
