At what age do you stop cutting grapes in halves?

My husband heard of a kid choking and dieing from a grape and now he's making me cut ds5 and Dd8 grapes in half. Honestly we never cut them in half, not even when they were toddlers, but we didn't give them til they were around 2 yrs old. Anyway this is ridiculous imo, what do you think?

I never cut their grapes in half, I simply waited until they had teeth

My son is 2 and I stopped cutting his grapes probably around 18 months. He does just fine without me cutting them.

I have to quarter my three year olds still because he tends to put more then one on his mouth when I am looking, same with carrots. Also I freeze them so it makes it safer to cut.

I cut them in quarters for my youngest dd, she loved grapes, but had only one front tooth till she was like 18 months old. I also kept cutting them till past 2 cause she has gagging issues due to a medical breathing issue.

Besides hotdogs, grapes are 2nd choking hazard in kids under the age of 10.

My oldr kids had them cut in half till they were like 2 I think, although dd 13 still cuts hers, when she makes a fruit salad for her lunch! lol
