Not really unless my dad is visiting or I'm visiting him. He's very allergic to sunflower seeds and oil and I don't want to have to shoot him with an epipen.

I look for HFCS and just general information (calories, sugars, servings, etc...).

Sometimes I'll put it back if it has something I don't like.

Yes. Always. We avoid many ingredients including all dyes, vanillin, tbhq, bht, bha, msg, artificial colors and flavors, and annatto.

Just calorie counts and HFCS. If it has a laundry list of ingredients with more than two syllables I'll generally put it back. We eat pretty clean with the addition of an Annie's mac&cheese or premade mashed potatoes.

Yes. I have a lot of dietary restrictions so I check. For my kids treats I don't always look though - I know a lot of the junk food is just that so when they get some random bag of nonsense I just assume it's bad.

No but Dh does. I don't know why. He bitches about the calories and fat then buys it anyway.
