Anyone know offhand?

For the past couple of weeks DS has had a cast on his leg, all the way up about 3/4 of the way up his thigh. Today he got it off, and got a new one on that goes up to just below his knee. His whole leg looked fine when they took off the cast, but now the part that is no longer covered is red and itchy. Is this typical when casts are removed?

It's normal. I've had many casts. Put some lotion on it.

Totally normal. Some good lotion put on every so often for a few days should help.
