What is the proper etiquette, going away

I'm attending a going away party for a family member who got a job opportunity across country. Should I bring a gift of some sort? If so, what? I'm not sure is that the normal thing to do?

Yes. Maybe a gift card to a local place she's moving by. Or something personalized about the new city/town.

Yes. Something small. Maybe something to remind them of home.

Go to an Asian import store/grocery and see if you can get a lucky cat or other small token of luck and good wishes for them :)

I like the idea for a gift card to a place local to where their moving...

Or maybe something iconic of the town she's leaving as a keepsake of her hometown type thing.

Or just a bottle of wine for after the stress of moving

If she has to travel by car over a long distance, gas cards or restaraunt cards are practical, driving gloves or a nice travel kit.
