DH and I have two girls. I work full time.

DH has two older kids.

He and their mom have drama.

When I want to go away in just take my kids. I've tried to include him and his kids in the past but it always blows up in my face. I lose money on bookings etc.

So I just take mine and go. People have told me I'm odd.

Um, I think it's odd, who wants to go on vacation without their husband?

Honestly it's not really odd given you've tried to take him and his children before and it hasn't worked out.

And it's really not odd to want one on one time with just your children. Personally I don't think I could do it that way, but to each their own. At least it gives each parent a chance to be alone with their children

But remeber with this site you can't win. You'll be wrong either which way you look at it

Why would you book something without bm's permission to leave the state?

I never said one word about leaving the state. Both I'd them were difficult.

We'd discuss it. I'd book it then a party for SK relatives would come up. It's an issue etc etc.

So I just stated booking, packing my kids and rolling out.

If you aren't going out of state and your dh approves, who cares?

Not odd. I wouldn't take him if he can't control his ex.
