Would you be a SAHM if money wasnt an issue in your life. If all your bills were paid and life was cushy.  Read a post a few minutes ago and one of the replies  got me wondering.

I don't know, I would love to go back to being a sahm but I never want to depend on a man again. Plus I was sooooo bored staying home with the kids.

I have been both. I worked till we were confortable, then I stayed home. So yes, once we were ok financially I stayed home. I have been home 20 years now. Never working again.

No. I would do part time, but I could never be a SAHM. I would get bored out of my mind.

No. I like my career, I love having my own money, and I love the routine we have.

Eta I'm not saying sahms money is not their own, because I think it is. But if we were to split or dh became disabled or lost his job, whatever the circumstance, this is dependant on me.
