I've never made chilli before. In fact, I only just tried it over the weekend. I want to make it for dinner tomorrow so please help a momma out.

My family's recipe:

Fresh garlic and garlic chopped
Green Chile chopped

Saute and add in hamburger.

Season with salt, pepper, cumin, dried cilantro, Chili powder.

When browned, drain grease and add tomato sauce and water.

Serve with pinto beans (home cooked preferably) and top with cheese.

It's a really simple one and I've never had a person who didn't love it. We serve it with deep fried corn tortillas, a gusto sauce and lettuce :p yum!

You'll have to hit the grocery store first.

Allrecipes.com has some great recipes. I make my Mom's version, but have no recipe. I just throw certain ingredients together.

Good luck.

Ground beef sautéed with garlic and onions. A few cans of various red and black beans. A can of diced tomatoes. A can of pure pumpkin purée. Diced bell peppers, onions, celery. Black pepper, cumin, chili powder, crushed red pepper, hot or smoked paprika. Sometimes a beer.

I've made turkey Chile before.

Ground turkey, canned tomatoes, green chili, corn, black beans and pinto beans. Very good!

Brown 1 lb of ground beef with 1/2 cup each chopped onion and bell pepper. Add in 1 can each rotel, SW chili beans, SW kidney beans (drained), and SW black beans (drained). Also add in 2 cloves garlic, minced, 2 cups tomato juice, 1 packet Mc Cormicks chili seasoning, and 1 tbsp diced pickled jalapeños. Bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 hour.
