Purple on/around eyes, help!

The inside area of my upper eyelids looks bruised, it stays a purplish-maroon color.  What causes this?  I am 39, get about 8 hours of sleep a night, don't drink sugary things.  Anything I can do to fix it?

Thanks

My son gets purplish under eyes and ever lids every year from fall to spring. It's allergies. I don't know if that's what yours is.

I believe the cause are tiny broken blood vessels. Do you have allergies or a cold that caused you to sneeze or rub your eyes a lot?

Allergies. My cousin always looks like she has 2 black eyes because she has a dairy allergy but still consumes it anyway.

I'm allergic to coconut (the same type of oil is also in some fish) but I avoid it b/c I vomit profusely when I ingest it.  Wonder if I've developed a new allergy?  Thanks
