Really? Not all big girls wear sizes that are too small for them! Personally I wouldn't, I don't like the trend, but to each their own, and if your comfortable in them OP, go for it! I like yoga type pants for myself. Much more comfortable than jeans.

big girl... meaning not a child or in regards to your weight?

Personally Im not a fan unless you are fit, young, and the top is on the designer side.  Otherwise it simply looks like you are too cheap to buy new jeans... imo.

funny story.... sil wears ripped jeans.  Im sure they are well well over $100/pair. There were 3 couples going out to dinner (all of us over 40 yrs) and she was wearing her ripped jeans and the hostess wouldnt seat us - ROTFLMBO!  No ripped jeans.

If they fit correctly, I guess it also depends on how big we are talking about

I feel that wearing ripped jeans actually seems to be ridiculing people who can not afford jeans with out rips and holes in them.

It's like the bo-ho chic movement.  Why would you dress like a homeless person if you are not homeless?  Don't you think that they have it hard enough without people imitating them?

Homeless people wear sweatpants or no pants.
