No, I can't get a job!

My sm has been getting on my case about getting a job. DS is 5 months old now "it's time you got off your ass and started working".

I'm a sahm. Df makes enough for me to be able to do that. So it's not like my not having a job is hurting us much. We aren't on any assistance either.

DS has some health issues we are trying to get to the bottom of. We are seeing our second specialist later this month. He stops breathing while he is sleeping. He chokes on nothing that we can see. No daycares around us will take him, because he is too much of a risk. We have a monitor that clips on his diaper that goes off if he stops breathing for 20 seconds.

My sm thinks I'm making it up and just looking for attention. Like I want my child to stop breathing! If it weren't for my dad, I would have cut her out of my life a long time ago. I'm 30 years old. I can make my own life choices, thank you very much!

I would tell her to go fuck herself.

Wow I'm really sorry. Can you talk to your dad about it?

Oh, that's scary. What did the first specialist say?

Any time she brings it up, tell her it is none of her business and you will not dicuss it with her. Period.

Your child was perfectly healthy if you and your husband agree for you to be a stay-at-home mom and you can do so without Public Assistance or the help of friends and family that's absolutely a business and your step mom has no say. I would refuse to speak with her until she stops bringing it up. And if that means inviting only your dad over then that's what I would do

She has no say in your life.
